Fenway Area Bird Walk with Boston Birding Festival and Walking City Trail
Saturday, October 5 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am
We’ll explore and look for birds in the northern part of the Fenway area around the gardens and recently restored Muddy River, in collaboration with Boston Birding Festival and Walking City Trail. Expect up to 2 miles of walking on easy flat trails (paved and unpaved).
This beautiful and historical patch of green often attracts migrating songbirds and ducks. Established in 1942, the Fenway Victory Garden is the oldest surviving victory garden in the United States.
This is an opportunity to learn a bit more about the Boston Birding Festival and the Walking City Trail. (This bird walk will walk on a section of the WCT.)
New birders are welcome, and we will have some binoculars to lend.
Registration with Boston Birding Festival is required at this link (https://www.bostonbirdingfestival.org/posts/fenway-area-bird-walk/). In addition BBF requires a waiver (made available during the registration process) which you should print and sign and bring with you. They will have waiver forms available if you forget.
