Lost Pond, Brookline

Brookline - Lost Pond Brookline, MA, United States

A short, two mile loop over slightly hilly trails looking for resident woodland birds and early migrants, namely Hairy Woodpecker, Brown Creeper, kinglets, Yellow-rumped and Pine Warblers, and possibly Great Horned Owl. We will also check the grassy slopes next to the pond and recycling center for sparrows and other grassland birds.

Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge, Harvard

Harvard - Oxbow NWR Tank Rd, Harvard, MA, United States

We will walk about three miles on easy paths through woodland and riparian habitats as we search for migrant and breeding songbirds. Rain cancels walk.

Westboro Wildlife Management Area

Westborough - Ball Field Hospital Rd, Westborough, MA, United States

We will hike the north side of Big Chauncy Pond in search of migrant warblers.

BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join.
