We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for snowy owls and other raptors, finches and waterfowl. Expect to move to different locations by car or bicycle. Ipswich - Former Town Hall 69 S Main St, Ipswich, MA, United StatesWe will search for waterfowl, raptors, and wintering boreal songbirds. Limited walking. Carpooling from the meeting location will be essential. Co-sponsored by the Essex County Ornithological Club.
Sachuest Point NWR Middletown, RI
Middleton, RI - Sachuest Point NWR 769 Sachuest Point Rd, Middleton, RI, United StatesA 3.5 mile walk on gravel trails. Snowy Owls are common and many sea ducks winter here. All 3 scoter species are possible. Also a great spot for winter sparrows. Be prepared for cold and wind. Trails may be icy in some areas.
BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration.
