We will walk along the Charles River Esplanade from the Longfellow Bridge upriver looking for birds on both land and water. We hope to see a range of fall migrants as well as year round Co-sponsored with the Charles River Esplanade Association.  Pre-register for this walk on the Esplanade Association's website. 

Fruitlands Museum, Harvard

We will look for warblers, thrushes, sparrows, and raptors, among many other birds. Expect to walk about 2 miles on trails through meadow and woods, with some steep sections.

We will spend the morning walking 3-4 miles through fields, forests and wetlands looking for post-nesting birds and early migrants. Contact leader the night before in case of rain prediction. No restrooms are available. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent.

Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join.
