Dartmouth - Allens Pond - Beach Lot 1284 Horseneck Rd, Westport, MA, United States

We will hike the Beach Loop and Quansett Trail. Mostly flat trails, but a mix of sandy, rocky, and muddy areas. We will look for migrants and breeders in a variety of habitats. If there is further interest we will continue to other nearby areas for any specialty species of interest.

We’ll look for breeding Worm-eating Warblers, Prairie Warblers and Indigo Buntings. One to two miles of walking–most trails are good, but we may want to take some steeper and rockier paths.

An easy, approximately two-mile walk on paved paths around the pond.

BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join.
