We will bird at historic Fort Phoenix, which dates to the Revolutionary War, walking along the hurricane barrier for a view of New Bedford Harbor and Buzzards Bay. Hundreds of Brant, nineteen species of ducks, as well as grebes, loons, and a variety songbirds are commonly seen at this eBird hotspot.

Join us for a mid-week hunt for alcids and other wintering seabirds. Be prepared for cold and windy weather. If bad weather is predicted, contact the leader by 6:00 p.m. the previous evening.

BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join.
